Too Active to Meditate

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about meditation, it’s that it’s not for the fidgety souls like myself. Sitting still for an entire movie? Yeah, right. But hey, I’ve been practicing meditation for over 20 years and let me tell you, I still can’t sit through it without feeling the urge to do a little dance or check my phone.

But fear not, fellow restless beings! Meditation is all about finding what works for you. Maybe sitting cross-legged on a cushion isn’t your thing. Have you tried lying down? Or better yet, incorporating some gentle movement into your practice? Who says meditating can’t involve a little wiggle here and there? I like to meditate for 10 minutes when I get up in the morning and right before bed. That seems to be enough to boost my energy levels for the day and help me sleep better at night. Meditation can be anything from prayer to manifesting to Chakra cleansing. Just do what works for you.

Just remember, meditation isn’t about achieving perfection or becoming a Zen master overnight. It’s about finding moments of peace and clarity amidst the chaos of life. So keep exploring different techniques and don’t be too hard on yourself if you can’t sit still like a statue. After all, even the Buddha probably had his fair share of wiggles during meditation sessions.
