Let’s talk about lists. Lists are my saving grace. Without a list, I get overwhelmed, and I don’t do anything. Or I move from one space to another, get distracted, and forget what I was doing. Lists. Ah, the unsung heroes of organization – or in my case, the heroes of not forgetting what I was doing one minute ago. Seriously, my brain is like a non-stop carnival ride of ideas and half-baked plans. Without a list, it’s chaos in there.
In the morning, I typically sit down to eat breakfast and drink my mushroom tea. Just eating breakfast is boring, so I like to combine it with reading a book and making my list for the day. I like to use gridded paper so I can doodle on it if I want. The satisfaction of checking off a box is unparalleled. Whether it’s something as mundane as ‘take a shower’ (hey, we’ve all been there), or tackling those bigger tasks, that little tick brings a sense of accomplishment that propels us forward.
So here’s to lists – the unsung heroes of productivity! Keep on listing and ticking off those boxes like the efficient taskmasters we are.
